I’ve known Su in many capacities, as an up and coming bellydance student - we used to take classes together, as a fellow performer - we’ve shared the stage more than once, as a friend and most recently as a teacher - I being the student. She amazes me with her dedication to the dance and also with all she’s done for the bellydance community here in Chatham.
From hosting an amazing weekend workshop and show in 2007 to various performances throughout our community and others to gearing up for a fundraiser/show in May and much, much more.
I’ve been able to learn and preview some of her choreographies and can just say, “wow, what a creative mind”!
Congratulations Su, on securing a studio you and your students can call your own!

I've been belly dancing with Susu for almost a year and a half now and my learning curve has gone through the roof! Sue is an amazing instructor. She is just as comfortable teaching a beginner class as she is an intermediate one, and she knows ALL of our capabilities.
SuSu is passionate about belly dance, a passion that now runs through OUR veins. She is a stickler for performing movements correctly, ensuring we are doing them to the best of our ability, and giving the dance its due credit.
When I first started dancing, I watched in awe at some of the senior dancers, certain that I would never be able to do what they do. But SuSu always believed in me and my abilities, and now I am proud to say I am a member of her student troupe.
Sue is more than just an instructor, she is truly a mentor, confidante and friend.

Amanda says:
The new dance studio is so inspiring! The colours, the wall hangings, gives the feeling of being in another country, a different culture, the bellydance world. The energy the room gives to us as dancers, helps to make the space inviting, relaxing, and to have fun learning as women. The dances and choreographies that
SuSu is teaching are challenging to all
of us, yet we are having fun as a group. Many of us have made close
friendships, and have grown in so many ways through belly dancing. Dancing has given me the stress relief I so rarely found in any other exercise. Being a bellydancer has changed my life and my health for the better.
Thanks Susu for all your help and inspiration.
Love ya,
Your forever sister in dance,
Amanda
