Dance Bio
When I viewed an advertisment promoting belly dance classes in Chatham, I knew that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn this beautiful artform. I have been dancing for the last six and a half years and absolutely love it! I have studied with Krista Boon of Windsor, Dawna Robertson of Sarnia, Audrey Grenier of Chatham, Kim Cocks of Chatham and most recently with Susu Abdo of Chatham. I have also taken workshops with Virginia of Miami, Ava Fleming, Amaya, Audra Simmons, Princess Farhana, Yazmina Ramzy of Toronto , Megan Robbins and Fatheim of California, Hannan Sultan of Raliegh/Durham and Toronto. I truly believe that taking as many workshops as you can and studying from as many teachers as you can, not only enhances your dance experience but also gives you a different perspective on the dance as not all teaching styles are the same! I totally love this dance and look forward to classes every week. Its my stress reliever! I enjoy the challenge of learning new choreography and have performed in many shows in Windsor, Chatham and Sarnia. Most recently I have performed as a principal dancer in Troupe Abdo in the May 3/08 production of "Behind The Veil". I encourage all ladies, young and old, regardless of shape or size, to come out and try. I'm sure you will love this dance as much as I do!
