Amanda's Bio

Amanda has been belly dancing since 2005 and she claims she is obsessed by the dance! She was drawn to the dance by its physical beauty. She is amazed at the strength required to execute
the library of movement. With a strong background in athletics , Amanda has been a participant in the Chatham Kent gymnastics scene for over 20 years. Both competing and coaching.
Amanda has studied the art of belly dance with Khrista Boon, Windsor,currently with Susu Abdo Chatham , she has also taken workshops with
Princess Farhana, California,
Veena of the Bellytwins, California,
Audra Simmons, Toronto,
Megan Robbins, Windsor , Hannan Sultan, Toronto/NC and Aziza of Montreal and Portland.
Amanda was featured as a soloist and principal dancer with Troupe Abdo in the production "Behind the Veil" and "1001 Nights" . Susu Abdo is proud to have Amanda on the teaching staff of our studio. Amanda finished out the 2009/2010 dance season with the presentation of her first choreography Intel Waheeda. Congrats on a job well done Amanda. This piece was presented at Sahara, May 15 2010 , Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham, ON

Amanda will be teaching the Intermediate group and Technique Classes this fall at Susu Abdo.
